Record attendance at INDOPLAS, INDOPACK and INDOPRINT with strong international presence, more technology on display, and local visitors all on the rise

The Indonesian International Plastics, Packaging and Printing Exhibitions, INDOPLAS, INDOPACK and INDOPRINT, welcomed 24,918 trade visitors from 31 countries, a 10 per cent increase over the last edition in 2016.The four-day exhibition that bridges the synergistic industries of plastic, packaging and printing at one central location spanned over 15,000 sqm with 360 exhibitors – 65 per cent of which came from overseas including five national pavilions and country groups from Austria, China, Germany, Singapore and Taiwan.
As one of the region’s leading procurement platforms, INDOPLAS, INDOPACK and INDOPRINT 2018 was also staged against the backdrop of strong economic growth rate and the Indonesian government’s roadmap - Making Indonesia 4.0 that is aimed at building a digital economy and focused on the five key sectors of food and beverage, automotive, textile, electronics and chemicals.

The region’s leading exhibition on workplace safety and health, OS+H Asia 2018, closed on 31 August at Suntec Singapore with a 15 per cent increase in visitors from the 2016 edition.The specialist exhibition serving the region’s workplace safety and health needs welcomed more than 5,000 trade visitors from 36 countries over three days with 40 visiting delegations and groups representing various application sectors such as building and construction, offshore marine, electrical and electronics, engineering services, and warehousing and logistics.
This year OS+H Asia showcased seven focus areas including the debut of the OSH Technology zone that presented smart technology and innovative solutions from Avetics Global, Fujitsu, and Magicsoft Asia Systems. The other focus areas were: Work at Height, Fire Protection, Environmental Control, Crisis and Emergency Management, Workplace Ergonomics, and Health at Work.

The two synergistic trade exhibitions for the medical, healthcare and MedTech sectors, MEDICAL FAIR ASIA and MEDICAL MANUFACTURING ASIA 2018 closed to resounding success on 31st August. With its largest edition to date, more than 14,000 trade visitors from 72 countries visited the fairgrounds of MEDICAL FAIR ASIA this year — a 16 per cent increase from 2016.MEDICAL MANUFACTURING ASIA 2018 registered some 6,000 visitors from 56 countries – making it a 12 per cent increase from the previous edition. The three-day synergistic exhibitions hosted more than 1,220 exhibitors from 62 countries who reached out to a diverse, international profile of visitors.

Building on the momentum of Singapore’s Vision Zero movement which is focused on preventing injuries and being healthy at the workplace, the region’s leading exhibition on workplace safety and health OS+H ASIA 2018 opens today at Suntec Singapore with more than 200 exhibitors from 20 countries.From safety clothing and shoes embedded with temperature sensors and biometric monitoring, respirators with mobile apps, to ergonomic and posture wellness solutions, OS+H ASIA 2018 is the event of choice for sourcing and procurement of products and technologies for workplace safety health (WSH) practitioners, human resource (HR) managers, law enforcement officers, to owners of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from around the region.
Various international delegations from China, Mongolia and Indonesia, and local visiting groups from Republic of Singapore Navy, Singapore Police Coast Guard, as well as companies representing the pharmaceutical, building and construction, offshore marine, shipbuilding, waste management services, electrical and electronic sectors, will be attending the exhibition over the next three days.

Opened today by Dr Koh Poh Koon, Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry, MEDICAL FAIR ASIA presents its largest ever line-up of national pavilions and groups; 23 in total including first-time participations from Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, European Union, Iran, the Philippines, Qatar, Russia and Spain.Several, new future-ready highlights at the exhibitions include the Community Care Pavilion focusing on geriatric medicine and solutions, rehabilitative and orthopaedic equipment and products; Start-Up Park, a dedicated showcase on start-ups with technological innovations; a Future 4 Health (FTR4H) Digital Health Lounge demonstrating latest digital health solutions involving Artificial Intelligence (AI), Smart Data, Internet of Things (IoT), as well as the CYBATHLON showcase featuring a Brain-Computer Interface Race and a staircase-climbing wheelchair.
